Chris to Hit the High Notes in Music Venture
FOR an ace soloist, Auburn musician Chris Neto, is sure making a name for himself as an astute, self-employed entrepreneur.
He’s already released two self-written songs that are hitting the mark across community radio and music apps and he’s now of his biggest gig yet – a 45-minute set at the Thirroul Music Festival on November 10.
And while his rise through the charts may seem meteoric, Chris wrote the first verse in his career story when he signed with the New Business Assistance with NEIS program under the mentoring of Sarina Russo Entrepreneurs Parramatta Business Solutions Coach, Maria Porcaro, in November last year.

“I was recommended to the NEIS program through my partner Emma who had also completed it a few years earlier,” Chris said.
“I was really daunted at the start, but Maria’s mentoring and support and encouragement was so helpful.
“She advised me to take it step-by-step and assured me we would get there, and she was right.”
A self-confessed ‘lover’ of Chris’ original music and his latest songs Bitter Beer Sweet Wine and Time Will Tell in particular, Maria said her star protégé was a pleasure to mentor.
“Chris is just such a really nice guy and he was so easy to work with,” Maria said.
Not once did he miss a session and he always took full advantage of the face-to-face coaching.
“I am very proud of him and I can’t wait to watch his career unfold.”
